01Scope and contract
These terms apply when you connect video hosting, publish through the Creator Network, apply for monetisation or request a creator payout. They supplement the Terms of Service, Terms of Use, Community Guidelines, Privacy Notice and Stripe terms. If they conflict, mandatory law applies first, then the more product-specific lawful term for the affected feature.
02Creator-controlled media hosting
Ident.ink stores the account, discovery, moderation and accounting records required to operate the network. You choose Mux, Bunny Stream or an approved self-hosted HTTPS origin for the media itself. Your contract with that provider, its limits, charges, availability, deletion and data practices remain your responsibility.
A direct upload authorisation sends the selected file from your browser to your provider. You must protect provider credentials, use the narrowest permissions available and rotate any credential that may be exposed. Ident.ink may disable a connection that is insecure, unverifiable or being abused.
03Rights and lawful publication
You must own each upload or hold sufficient written permission to host, publish, distribute and, where requested, monetise it. You must also have required permissions for music, performances, brands, personal data and people shown. A rights confirmation is a statement on which Ident.ink may rely; it does not transfer ownership to Ident.ink.
You grant Ident.ink a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to display the provider-hosted media and related metadata only as needed to operate, secure, moderate and promote the Creator Network. You retain ownership. Removing a video ends future platform display after reasonable processing, subject to legal evidence retention and provider-side deletion.
04Moderation and appeals
Every video begins outside the public feed and with advertising blocked. Organic publication, advertising suitability and creator monetisation are separate decisions. Automated controls may block, quarantine, restrict reach or suspend advertising where there is a high-confidence safety, legal, fraud or security concern, but automated controls do not grant monetisation.
Human reviewers may approve, restrict, reject or restore content and will record the decision. A creator may submit one open appeal for a restrictive video decision. An accepted appeal returns the item for a fresh review; it does not itself publish the video or restore advertising.
05Monetisation eligibility
Published thresholds are permission to apply, not a promise of acceptance, advertising, audience size, revenue or continued eligibility. Ident.ink also reviews identity, payout readiness, content quality, rights, policy history, invalid traffic, account links and reasonable fraud signals.
Applicants must complete Stripe Connect identity and payout checks. Ident.ink may pause or end eligibility when checks expire, provider requirements change, rights are disputed, traffic appears manipulated, policy is breached or payment risk makes continued participation unsafe.
06Revenue calculation and platform share
Only revenue actually received and reconciled from an advertising or commercial provider can become creator earnings. Estimated dashboards, views, likes, follower counts, advertiser bids and screenshots are not money owed. The applicable creator share is disclosed before a settlement is applied and may vary for future periods after reasonable notice.
For shared advertising revenue, Ident.ink may allocate the distributable amount using eligible qualified views during the stated settlement period. The settlement record identifies gross provider revenue, the creator share, eligible view weight and each allocation. Invalid, refunded, charged-back or policy-ineligible activity can be excluded or reversed with an auditable ledger entry.
07Payouts and reserves
The creator dashboard distinguishes recorded, reserved and available balances. One payout request may be open at a time and must meet the displayed minimum. A human reviewer checks the ledger, account standing and payout destination before an idempotent Stripe transfer is attempted.
Bank and Stripe processing times are outside Ident.ink's control. We may hold a genuinely disputed amount while investigating fraud, rights claims, legal process, sanctions, payment reversal or ownership. We will not withhold an undisputed amount longer than reasonably required. Negative adjustments can reduce future earnings but will not remove mandatory legal rights.
08Tax and creator status
Creators are responsible for determining and reporting their own tax, employment, consumer and business status. Ident.ink does not become your employer, agent, partner or financial adviser merely by publishing content or transferring reconciled earnings. We may request lawful tax or identity information required by Stripe, regulators or applicable reporting rules.
09Manipulation and enforcement
Do not buy, automate, exchange or misrepresent views, likes, followers, comments, identity documents, ownership evidence or advertising interactions. Do not encourage viewers to click adverts, hide promotional relationships or use another person's payout account. We may remove ineligible activity, reverse associated ledger entries, suspend access and preserve evidence. Serious or repeated abuse may also be reported where law requires or permits.
10Changes, closure and surviving records
Ident.ink may change providers, thresholds, minimum payouts, revenue shares or programme availability for future activity after reasonable notice. We may close the programme if it becomes unlawful, unsafe or commercially unavailable. A closure does not erase a valid recorded balance, subject to lawful deductions, disputes and minimum-payment handling.
Deleting an individual Mux or Bunny video through the Creator Network asks that connected provider to delete its asset before Ident.ink removes the playback reference. Account closure immediately removes every Ident.ink playback reference and disables the encrypted connection, but it cannot delete files from a provider account the creator independently controls. Creators should delete remaining provider copies themselves. Moderation decisions, settlement records, payment records and limited security evidence may remain for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention and dispute periods described in the Privacy Notice.
11Questions and disputes
Use private Support for payout, rights or identity matters. Do not place bank details, identity documents, provider keys or full payment information in public comments. Content and account decisions use the moderation appeal route. Payment complaints use the billing complaint route. Nothing in these terms excludes a mandatory consumer remedy or right to contact a regulator or court.
Eligibility, metrics and approval never guarantee advertising availability or income.
