01Access model and legacy retirement
From the Managed Servers 1.5 release, an active project-assigned managed server is the only customer entitlement for IdentDB or Ident.ink bot hosting. Previous Business, Developer, partner, add-on or other plan labels do not grant those two hosted services. Existing records are preserved when legacy access retires, but workloads remain unavailable until a matching server is active.
The official founder account retains permanent included access as a platform entitlement and does not need to purchase or assign customer capacity to itself. This exception does not grant access to another customer's project or records.
02What is being ordered
A managed-server order purchases the stated fixed period of an isolated server configured for either IdentDB or bot hosting. The checkout records the workload, storage, RAM, vCPU, included transfer, backup retention, region, price and term. It is not an immediate increase carved from Ident.ink's primary server.
Ident Group Ltd remains the service provider. Hardware or virtual infrastructure may be obtained from a disclosed or appropriately vetted infrastructure provider. The customer receives use of the managed service, not ownership of underlying hardware, provider credentials, the host operating system or the Ident.ink control plane, unless a separately signed order expressly transfers an asset.
03Payment and order acceptance
The displayed fixed price is collected by Stripe. A checkout-page visit or browser return does not prove payment; a signed Stripe event or server-side confirmation is required. The configuration and price are snapshotted so a later catalogue edit cannot alter a paid order.
Payment begins the decision window but does not begin the service term. No server is assigned, no purchased capacity is added and no customer workload is placed on new infrastructure merely because payment has been submitted.
04Seven-day pre-provisioning decision window
For seven days after confirmed payment, Ident.ink will not procure for handover or assign the server. The customer may cancel through the order control during that window and receive a full refund of that order through Stripe. Payment-provider or bank processing time is outside Ident.ink's control.
This contractual seven-day promise does not shorten a statutory cancellation period or another mandatory remedy. Where law grants a longer or different right, that right continues to apply.
05Procurement, verification and handover
After the decision window ends, Ident.ink may procure and enrol a server. It remains disabled and untrusted until the founder verifies payment, health and reported resources and assigns it to the correct project. The service term starts only when handover is recorded.
A server must meet or exceed the paid RAM, vCPU and usable storage configuration. If the ordered configuration cannot be supplied by the stated delivery date, Ident.ink will offer a lawful remedy, which may include an agreed replacement, a new delivery date or refund. It will not silently substitute a materially lower configuration.
06Fixed term and renewal
The order runs for three or twelve months from recorded handover, as shown at checkout. It does not renew automatically. Continued service requires a new, clearly priced order or another agreement accepted before the term ends.
The customer must keep independent exports of critical data and configuration. Backups are operated according to the purchased retention setting for recovery purposes and are not an unlimited archive.
07Ending after handover and refund calculations
A request made after handover is reviewed under the order, the general Refund Policy and mandatory law. Where a refund is due, Ident.ink may deduct only an itemised amount for service actually delivered and genuine non-recoverable provider cost caused by the order. The total deduction cannot exceed the amount paid.
Ident.ink will not invent a penalty, automatically demand all remaining instalments, hide the calculation or charge disputed damages to a saved payment method. The calculation must account for avoided cost and reasonable mitigation. Faulty, misdescribed or undelivered service remains subject to the remedies required by law.
08Isolation, access and acceptable use
Each assigned node is authenticated with a one-use enrolment, founder approval and a purpose-limited role. A customer receives only documented database or bot controls. No order grants a shell, remote administration of Ident.ink, access to another tenant, infrastructure secrets or permission to scan or attack networks.
Ident.ink may isolate or suspend the server for a credible security, legal, abuse or payment risk, using the narrowest safe action where practicable. Suspension does not determine liability and does not remove complaint, appeal or statutory rights.
09Data location, processors and exit
The order states the intended region. Infrastructure providers may act as subprocessors where they process customer personal data; current provider and transfer information is governed by the Privacy Notice and Data Processing Terms.
At term end the customer must export required data before the stated exit deadline. Ident.ink will delete or return customer data under the retention schedule, subject to backups, security records, fraud prevention, disputes and legal holds. Allocation records and billing evidence may be retained where legally necessary.
10Document priority and rights
These terms supplement the accepted order, Terms of Service, Refund Policy, Privacy Notice and Data Processing Terms. The accepted order controls its configuration and price; these terms control managed-server matters; the Terms of Service controls general matters. Mandatory law prevails over every document.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or prevents a customer from using Support, a competent regulator, an alternative dispute process where applicable or a court.
The seven-day full-refund promise is additional to, and never a replacement for, mandatory statutory rights.
