01Build a useful professional community
Ident.ink is for genuine people, teams, organisations and projects to publish work, build professional relationships and communicate. Be accurate about who you are, give others useful context, and respect their time and boundaries.
02Be authentic
- Use an identity you are entitled to represent.
- Clearly label parody, fan, sponsored and synthetic material when context could mislead.
- Do not buy engagement, operate account farms, coordinate fake recommendations or manipulate discovery.
03Protect people
- No exploitation of children, non-consensual intimate material, trafficking, threats or encouragement of real-world violence.
- No hate, targeted harassment, doxxing, stalking or persistent unwanted messages.
- If there is immediate danger, contact emergency services before making a platform report.
04Keep content useful
- Do not flood feeds, replies or inboxes with repetitive promotions.
- Share work, opportunities and claims you can substantiate.
- Do not post malware, phishing links, deceptive downloads or low-value pages made only for search or advertising manipulation.
05Use hiring and business tools responsibly
- State material terms of an opportunity honestly and do not charge deceptive application fees.
- Respect employment, equality, tax, payroll, advertising and consumer laws that apply to you.
- Never use payment or referral tools for sham work, self-referral, laundering or fabricated recipients.
06Respect privacy and consent
Do not publish personal, financial, health, location or identity information without a lawful reason and appropriate permission. Do not add people to marketing lists or scrape profiles for outreach against their choices.
07Encrypted conversations still have rules
User Key and encryption can make message content unavailable to ordinary server-side review. Participants can still report content, and relevant metadata or participant-provided evidence may be used for safety. Encryption must not be used to facilitate abuse.
08Report precisely
Report the specific profile, post, project, site or message through Support. Explain what happened and include lawful evidence. Do not coordinate mass reports or submit knowingly false allegations.
09How we respond
We consider context, severity, intent, reach, harm, previous conduct and cooperation. Responses can include education, reduced reach, content removal, feature restrictions, payment holds, suspension or termination. Serious illegal or safety matters may be preserved and referred.
10Appeal a decision
Use the case reference to request review under the Reports, Moderation and Appeals Policy. Explain the specific error or provide new evidence. We correct decisions when the evidence supports doing so.
The Terms of Use are the controlling enforceable rules if this summary and those terms differ.
