01Required service storage
Required storage supports sign-in, request security and saved preferences. Blocking necessary session cookies in your browser can prevent sign-in and protected actions. Optional choices do not remove the security and service records described in the Privacy Notice.
02Independent optional categories
Measurement and Advertising are separate choices and both are off until the browser explicitly allows the relevant category. Use required only turns both off. Allowing one category does not allow the other. Advertising also remains subject to provider requirements, permitted placements and any required certified consent platform.
03What is stored
The identink_cookie_consent cookie records the consent version and the two category choices for up to 180 days, shared across Ident.ink subdomains. Recognised earlier choices may remain valid under the current preference rules; a missing or unrecognised choice does not enable optional categories.
Optional browser measurement creates identink_visit_id in session storage for page-view measurement; its hashed value can be stored with events. Session storage normally lasts for the browser page session, subject to browser restore behaviour. The current system does not use the proposed statistics notice or account opt-out cookies.
04Change a choice
Open Cookies, select Use required only, or choose Manage optional cookies and save the separate categories. The dashboard also exposes the existing cookie preferences control. A reload can stop optional integrations already loaded. Choices apply to that browser; set the choice again on other browsers or devices.
The Analytics Notice explains current event fields and the separate reliability diagnostics. The Privacy Notice explains provider processing, rights and retention.
