01Your billing agreement

These product terms supplement Ident.ink’s Terms of Service for pay-as-you-go IdentDB document storage supplied by Ident Group Ltd. Our registered identity and address are in the Imprint. The project owner must actively accept these terms, authorise future card payments, request immediate service and complete secure card setup before paid use begins. A team member cannot accept on behalf of the owner. Attaching a card alone does not purchase a subscription tier. Existing managed-server contracts remain separate and are not silently converted.

02£6 per 2 GB-month, prorated

The storage price is £6 for 2 GB stored throughout a calendar month, equivalent to £3 per GB-month. GB means 1,000,000,000 bytes. The published customer price includes any applicable taxes; no tax surcharge may be added to this tariff without a new disclosed agreement. There is no fixed monthly fee or minimum storage purchase under this agreement.

We measure the UTF-8 bytes of active document JSON stored in your project, integrated over the time those bytes remain stored. Empty databases accrue no storage charge. Indexes, backups, deleted documents, internal metadata, card details and logs are not counted by this meter. Two GB for half a month costs approximately £3; one GB for the full month costs £3. Computation uses actual UTC timestamps and the length of that calendar month. Fractional pennies are rounded once per monthly invoice, rather than up on each write.

No additional per-request or compute fee is authorised by this version. Existing API rate, document size, query and project limits still apply. This agreement does not activate PostgreSQL storage: that requires a separately verified meter and disclosed terms.

03Storage caps and estimates

Before activation you choose a storage cap in 2 GB steps. New writes cannot exceed the cap. A 2 GB cap limits this storage tariff to £6 for a full month; a 4 GB cap limits it to £12. This is a storage cap, not an extra capacity purchase. Changing it requires review and a fresh express agreement. Usage estimates are not paid receipts. Capacity admission is limited by actual operator-approved resources; payment authorisation does not guarantee unlimited capacity or availability.

04Card authorisation and monthly invoices

You authorise Ident Group Ltd to save your payment method through Stripe and charge the card for itemised storage usage after each UTC calendar month closes. You can save these terms and your billing statement. Attaching a card does not itself take payment. Ident.ink receives a provider reference, brand, expiry and last four digits, rather than the full card number or security code.

We do not bill usage before successful activation or retroactively impose this agreement on existing users. If a payment needs authentication or fails, new paid use may pause and you must resolve it through your billing page or Support. We do not treat a return-page visit as proof of card setup or payment. Balances below the payment provider’s minimum must be consolidated and disclosed before collection; they must not cause a larger unexplained card charge.

05Ending service and keeping control of your data

Export or delete your document data without adding a card. To end this storage agreement immediately, use the billing screen’s explicit delete-and-end action, which permanently deletes the project’s document collections after confirmation. Download every export page before deleting. This action does not delete separately managed PostgreSQL data. Storage already supplied remains payable; cancellation does not create an exit fee under this agreement.

Removing a card pauses new paid use but does not delete stored data or cancel storage billing. Contact Support if you need help exporting, cancelling, disputing a charge or replacing a card. We do not make exercise of statutory data rights conditional on payment.

06Immediate service, cancellation and disputes

Where a statutory cancellation period applies, you may cancel within that period through Support or the billing screen. We ask separately for your express request to start service immediately. Where permitted by law, cancellation after that request may require only a proportionate payment for service actually supplied; accepting these terms does not waive mandatory consumer rights, including remedies for faulty or misdescribed services. To give a cancellation notice, provide your account, project, decision to cancel and date through Support; no special wording is required.

Questions about measurement, unauthorised charges or service faults can be raised through Support. We will review the recorded billing agreement and storage ledger. These terms do not restrict your rights with your bank, card issuer, regulator or court.

07Activation and changes

Paid use starts only after provider verification, billing collection, capacity and release checks are complete. Visiting these terms alone neither activates billing nor authorises a charge. Price increases require advance disclosure and fresh agreement before increased-rate use; the recorded terms version fixes the tariff for the accepted billing period.
