01When these rules matter
This is a guide to privacy, consumer rights and complaint routes. Applicability depends on your circumstances, the service, the transaction and the law’s territorial scope. Residence, citizenship, business location and where processing happens can have different legal effects. More than one country’s law may apply.
Selecting this country does not change your account, select governing law, create consent, establish service availability or waive any right. Mandatory protections that apply to you take priority over conflicting Ident.ink wording. This guide does not amend an accepted price or agreement.
02Privacy and personal information
Where the Privacy Act 2020 applies, its information privacy principles govern personal information, including access and correction. The additional IPP 3A notification obligation for indirect collection took effect on 1 May 2026. Exceptions and other applicable codes still matter.
03Local distinctions
New Zealand’s principles include IPP 3A for indirect collection from 1 May 2026. The relevant principle, exceptions and any applicable sector code need to be considered for your request.
04Payments, cancellation and consumer rights
Mandatory consumer protections remain available where applicable. A contract term cannot remove statutory protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
05Your browser choices
Ident.ink keeps optional measurement and advertising off without an explicit choice. Global Privacy Control overrides an older opt-in. Necessary sign-in, security and billing records are separate. These safeguards do not depend on choosing a country here.
Your country selection does not move stored data or establish a cross-border transfer safeguard. Our privacy notice explains the stated processing and transfer arrangements.
06Make a request or complaint
You can email privacy@ident.ink without signing in. Describe what you need and, if relevant, the country, state or province connected to the request. You do not need to know the legal name of a right before asking. We may need proportionate identity or authority checks before disclosing or changing protected information.
Applicable statutory response periods, valid extensions and exceptions govern your request. If we cannot fulfil it, we will explain the reason and any applicable complaint or appeal route. Contacting us does not prevent you from exercising an available regulator, court or consumer remedy.
07Official sources and checking date
Sources checked 2026-10-21. Scheduled source recheck: 2027-01-19. This is a source-check date, not a legal approval or certification. Follow the current official text for commencement, exceptions and procedures. Some authority sites provide guidance in their national language.
Country profiles are scoped summaries. They do not certify all local tax, child-access, online-safety, accessibility, employment, sector-specific or data-protection obligations. Existing mandatory rights apply even if a country or a local rule is not listed.
This is scoped guidance, not a new acceptance or waiver. A country selection does not determine the applicable law or change your existing agreement.
