01When these rules matter

This is a guide to privacy, consumer rights and complaint routes. Applicability depends on your circumstances, the service, the transaction and the law’s territorial scope. Residence, citizenship, business location and where processing happens can have different legal effects. More than one country’s law may apply.

Selecting this country does not change your account, select governing law, create consent, establish service availability or waive any right. Mandatory protections that apply to you take priority over conflicting Ident.ink wording. This guide does not amend an accepted price or agreement.

02Privacy and personal information

US privacy rights depend on your state, the activity and whether the relevant law covers the business. Where applicable, rights may include access, deletion, correction, portability, targeted-advertising or sale/sharing opt-outs, authorised-agent requests and an appeal of a denied request. These rights are not identical in every state.

  • Our privacy notice
  • Access, correction, deletion and other requests

03Local distinctions

California is a state-specific example, not a substitute for reviewing other states. Applicable CCPA rights include knowing, deleting, correcting and opting out of sale/sharing, with statutory limitations and non-discrimination protections. Our GPC safeguard is available regardless of whether a statutory coverage threshold is met.

04Payments, cancellation and consumer rights

Federal and state consumer protection rules may apply to misleading statements, billing and renewals. Do not assume that a general nationwide cooling-off right applies to every online purchase. Mandatory state rights remain available.

  • Payments, cancellation and refunds
  • IdentDB usage-billed storage terms

05Your browser choices

Ident.ink keeps optional measurement and advertising off without an explicit choice. Global Privacy Control overrides an older opt-in. Necessary sign-in, security and billing records are separate. These safeguards do not depend on choosing a country here.

Your country selection does not move stored data or establish a cross-border transfer safeguard. Our privacy notice explains the stated processing and transfer arrangements.

  • Cookie choices and Global Privacy Control

06Make a request or complaint

You can email privacy@ident.ink without signing in. Describe what you need and, if relevant, the country, state or province connected to the request. You do not need to know the legal name of a right before asking. We may need proportionate identity or authority checks before disclosing or changing protected information.

Applicable statutory response periods, valid extensions and exceptions govern your request. If we cannot fulfil it, we will explain the reason and any applicable complaint or appeal route. Contacting us does not prevent you from exercising an available regulator, court or consumer remedy.

  • Email a privacy request for United States
  • Billing, service or other complaints
  • California privacy rights and regulator guidance

07Official sources and checking date

Sources checked 2026-10-21. Scheduled source recheck: 2027-01-19. This is a source-check date, not a legal approval or certification. Follow the current official text for commencement, exceptions and procedures. Some authority sites provide guidance in their national language.

Country profiles are scoped summaries. They do not certify all local tax, child-access, online-safety, accessibility, employment, sector-specific or data-protection obligations. Existing mandatory rights apply even if a country or a local rule is not listed.

  • California Attorney General: CCPA
  • California Attorney General: Global Privacy Control
  • FTC: consumer guidance

This is scoped guidance, not a new acceptance or waiver. A country selection does not determine the applicable law or change your existing agreement.
